Job Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field.
Texas Athletic Trainer License through TDLR (or ability to obtain before start date).
CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Strong knowledge of injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation

This is a full-time, nine-month, program-track appointment within the School of Physical Education, Performance and Sport Leadership beginning August 2026. This faculty member will be responsible for providing comprehensive athletic health care for the Springfield College intercollegiate football program while simultaneously providing clinical education, supervision and instruction to athletic training students. Primary Purpose:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all components of the athletic training program for student athletes. Work under the direction of the team physician to prevent, recognize, assess, manage, treat, and recondition athletic injuries and illnesses.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
Valid license from Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers
Current adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:

Looking for a head district athletic trainer who will oversee the well being of the student athletes in grades 7-12. You will have an assistant who is contracted, but will assist with practices and games.
You will be on a 207 day contract and receive a $10K stipend on top.
