QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION Bachelor's degree Valid Texas teaching certificate (No Health/PE) CDL (Preferred, not required) EXPERIENCE: High school (or higher level) football coaching experience General knowledge of football coaching techniques and procedures Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations Ability to develop, instruct, and supervise student athletes Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to) Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student-athletes who participate in football. Responsible for all aspects of the program, including developing training and game plans, managing assistant coaches, and ensuring student athletes are eligible and adhere to school and UIL rules . Key duties include coordinating practices and games, teaching skills and strategy, promoting sportsmanship, and maintaining communication with students, parents, and the school administration. The coach must also manage the budget and care for equipment and facilities.
