Job Description

ROLE AND PURPOSE:

  • Assist in delivering a quality football program that is rooted in education-based values, high expectations, consistency, and academic performance for all participating student athletes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate (No Health/PE)
  • CDL (Preferred, not required)

EXPERIENCE:

  • High school (or higher level) football coaching experience
  • General knowledge of football coaching techniques and procedures
  • Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations
  • Ability to develop, instruct, and supervise student athletes
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to)

  • Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student-athletes who participate in football.
  • Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
  • Work with school faculty to promote academic excellence.
  • Ensure a quality and enjoyable experience for all participants.
