Somerville High School is looking for a high energy, enthusiastic coach to help grow Yegua Athletics while serving as a Female Assistant Coach for 2 sports (Possibly Head Tennis). The teaching field is Special Education at the High School. The applicant would have a case load.  Somerville ISD has passed a $42M bond with plans for new athletic facilities (Renovated Gymnasium / New Baseball and Softball Complex). Estimated date back in the gym: Thanksgiving 2026).  Somerville Independent School District is a rural, 2A school district located 30 miles southwest of College Station and 3 minutes from Lake Somerville, in beautiful Burleson County. We have approximately 540 students in our district which offers small class sizes. Runge is looking for an assistant coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Offensive Line experience preferred. Football went 8-3 with the schools first District Title in 30 years. We are only losing one 2-way starter from last year’s team. We have also dropped to Div 2. Teaching field is open as of now. Head coaching opportunities for winter/springs are available as well.
