The assistant organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities and exercises as instructed by the head coach and assists in determining game strategy. The candidate must be a highly effective classroom teacher and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Prior knowledge of a Spread Offense is a plus.  Teaching Field: OPEN. Forney HS Football is looking to add an offensive skill position coach (WRs, RBs, or TEs) to our coaching staff. We have been to the playoffs in 5 consecutive years including a state semifinal run in 2023. FISD Salary is highly competitive and can be found on the website. Stipends for football and 2nd sport are also highly competitive. 2nd sport could be track, baseball, or wrestling. Plainview High School (in the Texas Panhandle) has just dropped from 5A to 4A. We are in a 4 team district this new realignment. Looking for assistant coaches on both sides of the football (QB or best fit; DL or DB) Varsity QB (possible pass game coordinator) - Prefer a coach with some coaching experience and at the very least, played QB at the college level. The QB coach is responsible for developing QBs from the 7th - 12th grades. If called for an interview, the expectation is to have plans in place to develop QBs at each level. Another expectation is spring QB school/clinic for all program QBs. We run a multiple spread offense out of multiple personnel groups with zone and gap scheme runs, RPOs for those runs, screens, quick game, sprint out, and drop back. Graduating QB threw for nearly 3,000 yards just in the regular season.
