Runge is looking for an assistant coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Football went 8-3 with the schools first District Title in 30 years. We are only losing one 2-way starter from last year’s team. We have also dropped to Div 2. Other accolades: Volleyball District Champs, Girls Golf District Champs, Boys Track District Champs, Baseball and Softball District Champs. Regional Qualifiers in Cross Country, Powerlifting, Boys Golf, Track. State Qualifier in Girls Track. Teaching field is Special Education or Ag. Head coaching opportunities for winter/springs may be available as well. We are looking for the best possible fit. Must be certified or in an alternative certification class. Provide leadership, organization, and supervision for the district’s athletic program while also serving as a coach. The Athletic Director will ensure compliance with UIL regulations, promote student participation and character development, and maintain a competitive and well-managed athletic program suited for a small 1A district, including six-man football.
