Lake Travis High School, located in the Hill Country just west of Austin, is seeking a passionate and dynamic Head Cross Country Coach to lead our cross country program.

Position Overview

The Head Cross Country Coach will oversee the entire cross country program (varsity, junior varsity,  feeder levels), while also serving in a teaching role in English. This position reports to the Athletic Director and Principal, and is responsible for building on the program's championship legacy while fostering a positive, high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the cross country program
• Recruit, develop, and mentor student-athletes to reach their full potential athletically, academically, and personally.
• Coordinate with assistant coaches, strength/conditioning staff, and athletic trainers.
• Teach English classes and contribute to the overall physical education curriculum.
• Ensure compliance with UIL rules, district policies, and safety standards.
• Promote the program within the community and build strong relationships with parents, boosters, and feeder schools.
• Manage team budgets, equipment, and scheduling.
