Job Description
Howe ISD is seeking a highly motivated and student-centered leader to serve as the Head Baseball Coach. The ideal candidate will build a competitive program while emphasizing character development, academic success, and community pride.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the high school baseball program
- Develop and implement offseason, in-season, and summer training programs
- Foster a positive culture focused on discipline, accountability, and teamwork
- Oversee middle school alignment and program development
- Monitor student-athlete academic progress and eligibility
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, staff, and administration
- Organize schedules, travel, equipment, and budgeting needs
- Ensure compliance with UIL rules and district policies
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate (subject area TBD)
- CDL or willingness to obtain
- Previous coaching experience preferred (head coaching experience a plus)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field
