Head Baseball/Assistant Football

Job Description

Howe ISD is seeking a highly motivated and student-centered leader to serve as the Head Baseball Coach. The ideal candidate will build a competitive program while emphasizing character development, academic success, and community pride.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the high school baseball program
  • Develop and implement offseason, in-season, and summer training programs
  • Foster a positive culture focused on discipline, accountability, and teamwork
  • Oversee middle school alignment and program development
  • Monitor student-athlete academic progress and eligibility
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, staff, and administration
  • Organize schedules, travel, equipment, and budgeting needs
  • Ensure compliance with UIL rules and district policies

Qualifications

  • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate (subject area TBD)
  • CDL or willingness to obtain
  • Previous coaching experience preferred (head coaching experience a plus)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field
