Weatherford High School is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Head Wrestling Coach to lead and develop both the boys and girls wrestling programs. The teaching field is open, with multiple teaching options available. This position is a 202-day contract and requires a CDL or a willingness to obtain a CDL within the first year of employment. The Head Wrestling Coach will be responsible for all aspects of the wrestling program, including building a positive and competitive culture, organizing practices and competitions, promoting academic success and sportsmanship, communicating effectively with athletes, parents, and administration, and ensuring compliance with district and UIL policies. Previous coaching experience and strong leadership and organizational skills are preferred. Responsible for all aspects of the program, including developing training and game plans, managing assistant coaches, and ensuring student athletes are eligible and adhere to school and UIL rules . Key duties include coordinating practices and games, teaching skills and strategy, promoting sportsmanship, and maintaining communication with students, parents, and the school administration. The coach must also manage the budget and care for equipment and facilities.
