DeSoto ISD is seeking an experienced leader to head the varsity boys’ basketball program at DeSoto High School while serving as a classroom teacher. Key Responsibilities •  Lead all aspects of the varsity boys’ basketball program, including practices, games, player development, and feeder programs. •  Build a competitive, disciplined program focused on academics, character, and athletic excellence. •  Manage game operations, scouting, equipment, and budget. •  Fulfill assigned teaching duties on campus. •  Ensure full compliance with UIL and district rules. Minimum Qualifications •  Minimum 4 years of head coaching experience at the high school varsity level. •  Valid Texas Teaching Certification (or eligibility to obtain prior to employment). •  Bachelor’s degree. •  Knowledge of UIL rules and regulations. •  Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening. The Grapevine High School Mustangs has an open Varsity Assistant Boys Basketball position. We are looking for an energetic coach that would like to be a head coach in the future. We return 70% of our scoring from last year, and have two returning 1st Team All District players coming back, a strong booster club, and a talented sophomore group.  Right now the 2nd sport is track, with both sports offering extremely competitive stipends. Grapevine-Colleyville is a great district to teach in, with complete support from administration. Locker room upgrades are in the works. Currently this is a Math only spot.
