Primary Purpose: The high school athletic trainer is responsible for the health and safety of all the student-athletes on their campus. They will develop and manage a student-trainer program. They will need to foster a professional relationship with coaches, parents, student-athletes, student-trainers, and administrators.
Qualifications: Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree Licensed Athletic Trainer State of Texas American Heart Association First Aid/CPR Instructor Certified Special Knowledge/Skills: Must have substantial knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of athletic injuries in all sports and continue to grow in knowledge through professional development. Must have strong communication skills and work closely with student-athletes, student-trainers, coaches, parents and administrators.
