The Football Offensive Assistant supports the head coach and offensive coordinator by assisting with game planning, organizing practice, coaching a specific position group, and instructing players on the rules, regulations, equipment, and proper techniques of the sport. The assistant organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities and exercises as instructed by the head coach and assists in determining game strategy. The candidate must be a highly effective classroom teacher and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Prior knowledge of a Spread Offense is a plus.  Teaching Field: Social Studies. Science. SpEd. Must be fully certified.

Fredericksburg High School is looking to hire an assistant football coach. We are looking for defensive line or best fit available, with a possible second sport of soccer, baseball, or track. The teaching field is composite science. Collegiate playing or coaching experience is preferred but not required. Fredericksburg ISD is a District of Innovation, so applicants do not have to be certified teachers to apply, but should be enrolled in an alternative certification program. CDL or able to obtain.  Salary range $54,000 - $80,770 before stipends
