Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coach and develop quarterbacks in mechanics, footwork, throwing technique, decision-making, and leadership. Assist in planning and implementing offensive game strategies and practice plans. Analyze game film to improve player and team performance. Teach offensive terminology, reads, protections, and situational football concepts. Monitor student-athlete academic progress, behavior, and eligibility. Promote sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and character development. Supervise athletes during practices, games, workouts, travel, and team events. Collaborate with the Head Coach and offensive staff on scouting reports and opponent preparation. Ensure compliance with district, state athletic association, and school policies. The Football Best Fit Assistant supports the head coach and offensive/defensive coordinator by assisting with game planning, organizing practice, coaching a specific position group, and instructing players on the rules, regulations, equipment, and proper techniques of the sport. The assistant organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities and exercises as instructed by the head coach and assists in determining game strategy. The candidate must be a highly effective classroom teacher and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Prior knowledge of a Spread Offense/4-2-5 is a plus.
