The Mighty Hurricanes are seeking a JV Basketball Assistant with 2nd sport Coach who is committed to continuing the growth and success of a well-established and competitive program. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for student-athlete development, and the ability to build upon a culture of excellence both academically and athletically. The selected candidate will support a positive, structured learning environment that fosters discipline, accountability, teamwork, and character development. Through the vehicle of sports, the coach will help student-athletes acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become responsible, productive, and contributing adults.

The Football Offensive Assistant supports the head coach and offensive coordinator by assisting with game planning, organizing practice, coaching a specific position group, and instructing players on the rules, regulations, equipment, and proper techniques of the sport. The assistant organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities and exercises as instructed by the head coach and assists in determining game strategy. The candidate must be a highly effective classroom teacher and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Prior knowledge of a Spread Offense is a plus.  Teaching Field: Social Studies. Science. SpEd. Must be fully certified.

This will be an assistant Football (skill position) with 2 athletic periods and a conference. We are flexible with positions desired for your second sport. It could be JH basketball, Assistant Track, Assistant Baseball. Third sport is available if requested. A CDL is required for this opportunity or willing to obtain before the school year begins.
