Somerville High School is looking for a high energy, enthusiastic coach to help grow Yegua Athletics while serving as a Female Assistant Coach for 2 sports (Possibly Head Tennis). The teaching field is Special Education at the High School. The applicant would have a case load.  Somerville ISD has passed a $42M bond with plans for new athletic facilities (Renovated Gymnasium / New Baseball and Softball Complex). We have approximately 540 students in our district which offers small class sizes. Sport: Level Softball: JV/Varsity Description Currently 1 opening, TBD on whether it is a Varsity Assistant or a JV Coach Opening. Salary - depends on experience Stipend- JV$3,250 or VA $4,500 2nd sport: Yes for JV coach / None for Varsity Assistant Responsibilities Responsible for supporting the Head Coach in the supervision and development of the program. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assisting with planning and running game and practice sessions. Supporting the weekly monitoring of student-athletes and academic progress.
