Plainview High School (in the Texas Panhandle) has just dropped from 5A to 4A. We are in a 4 team district this new realignment. Looking for an energetic and knowledgeable QB coach. Prefer a coach with some coaching experience and at the very least, played QB at the college level. The QB coach is responsible for developing QBs from the 7th - 12th grades. If called for an interview, the expectation is to have plans in place to develop QBs at each level. Another expectation is spring QB school/clinic for all program QBs. Runge is looking for an assistant coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Offensive Line experience preferred. Football went 8-3 with the schools first District Title in 30 years. We are only losing one 2-way starter from last year’s team. We have also dropped to Div 2. Teaching field is open as of now. Head coaching opportunities for winter/springs are available as well.
