We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our team as a High School English Teacher who will also serve as an Assistant Coach for Girls’ Athletics across three sports. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to positively impact students both in the classroom and on the athletic field by supporting their academic growth and athletic development. The successful candidate will teach English Language Arts classes and assist with coaching duties for our girls’ athletic programs (three sports/seasons). We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships with student-athletes, promote academic excellence, and help create a positive, competitive, and supportive environment. The will coach and develop student-athletes in the following girls athletic programs: Volleyball Basketball Track & Field Responsibilities include: Planning and conducting practices and competitions Teaching fundamental and advanced athletic skills Promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and character development Monitoring academic progress of student-athletes Assisting with offseason strength and conditioning programs Coordinating with campus and district athletic staff Maintaining equipment and facilities Supporting the overall vision and goals of the Gainesville ISD athletic program Teaching field areas: History / Social Studies Careers (CTE) Elementary Physical Education Science
