Position Summary: Denton High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Athletic Trainer who will also serve as a Health Science Teacher. This dual-role position supports the physical well-being of student-athletes while providing high-quality instruction in Health Science courses. The ideal candidate is committed to student safety, academic excellence, and collaboration with coaches, staff, and the community.
Primary Responsibilities:
Athletic Trainer Duties:
Provide prevention, care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for all student-athletes
Attend practices and athletic events as assigned
Develop and implement injury prevention programs
Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation plans
Coordinate with physicians, parents, and coaching staff regarding athlete care
