Communications & Marketing Multimedia Specialist

Fort Bend Christian Academy is seeking a Communications & Marketing Multimedia Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year.   

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in visual communications, marketing, digital media, communications, public relations, graphic design, or a related field.
  • Experience creating graphics, photography, video, social media content, and/or digital marketing assets.
  • Proficiency with design and creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, photography/editing tools, video editing software, and related digital platforms.
  • Proficiency in photography and videography for coverage of school events during school days, evenings, and occasional weekends.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging channels relevant to school communications.
  • Excellent written, verbal, visual, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to write in AP Style.
  • Strong creative judgment with the ability to produce polished, brand-aligned content for a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and requests with professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Basic website content management experience preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Social Media and Digital Content

  • Create and publish engaging social media content that supports FBCA’s mission, brand, community engagement, admissions goals, advancement priorities, and school-wide storytelling.
  • Maintain a coordinated social media and content editorial calendar in collaboration with the Director of Communications & Marketing.
  • Develop content that highlights various stakeholders and groups, including student life, academics, fine arts, athletics, spiritual formation, alumni, faculty, and campus events.
  • Support campaign storytelling connected to strategic messaging such as “Created Creators,” including student spotlights, short-form videos, graphics, reels, and feature content.
  • Monitor social media trends, platform updates, audience engagement, and community feedback to recommend creative and effective content approaches.
  • Track basic social media performance metrics and provide regular updates to the Director of Communications & Marketing.

Graphic Design and Brand Support

  • Design high-quality digital and print materials for school-wide communications, admissions, advancement, events, campus screens, newsletters, signage, presentations, and special initiatives.
  • Ensure all creative work follows FBCA brand standards, including logo usage, colors, typography, tone, and overall visual consistency.
  • Support the Director of Communications & Marketing in maintaining, monitoring, and strengthening FBCA’s brand identity across internal and external platforms.
  • Prepare graphics and visual assets for email communications, website updates, social media campaigns, event promotion, and digital advertising as needed.
  • Collaborate with departments across campus to fulfill approved design requests while maintaining priorities, timelines, and brand quality.

Photography, Videography, and Storytelling

  • Capture photographs and videos of campus-wide events, classroom experiences, student activities, chapels, athletics, fine arts, advancement events, and other school moments as assigned.
  • Create short-form video and visual recap content for social media, website, newsletters, campus screens, and campaign use.
  • Help identify and develop meaningful stories that communicate FBCA’s mission, values, student experience, and distinctive Christian education.
  • Organize and maintain photo and video assets in a way that supports efficient access, reuse, and long-term brand storytelling.

Website, Email, and Campus Communication Support

  • Assist with website content creation, implementation, and updates under the direction of the Director of Communications & Marketing.
  • Create or adapt graphics and visual content for mass emails, newsletters, announcements, and community updates.
  • Support campus screen content by designing and updating slides that are timely, accurate, visually appealing, and brand-aligned.
  • Assist with digital content needs for admissions, advancement, athletics, fine arts, student life, and special events.

Collaboration and Department Support

  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Communications & Marketing, Managing Director of Institutional Advancement, Admissions, Advancement, Athletics, Fine Arts, divisional leadership, faculty, and staff.
  • Support special events through design, promotion, photography, videography, social media coverage, and communication materials as assigned.
  • Serve as a creative partner who helps translate school priorities into clear, compelling, mission-aligned visual communication.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, flexibility, and a servant-hearted attitude in all interactions.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Communications & Marketing.
