Job Description

Tuscaloosa, Alabama, The University of Alabama is accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Data Analyst I. The Data Analyst I gathers, audits, analyzes, and reports low- to moderate-complexity data under general supervision. Ensures data integrity. May perform ad-hoc analyses and reporting to inform decision-making, or design predictive modeling or other data mining capabilities. Supports UA Athletics' data management and analytics efforts by building and maintaining business intelligence solutions and delivering actionable insights across ticketing, marketing, and operational areas. Assists with reporting automation, dashboard development, and analytics. Ensures data quality. Adheres to institutional security and governance policies and procedures. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree or higher and some data analysis experience. Preferred qualifications include a   Bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, information systems, or another related field. Experience using SQL for data management. Experience using Python and/or R for data analysis. Experience using Tableau and/or comparable BI tools for data visualization. Familiarity with CRM systems, ticketing platforms, and large-scale consumer datasets. Experience with Snowflake. Experience in college athletics (internship or full-time).
