This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company's locations: Atlantic Fields, set outside of West Palm Beach, FL

Atlantic Fields is seeking an Assistant Rackets Pro to join the Outdoor Pursuits Department.

The Assistant Rackets Pro supports the Rackets Director in delivering instruction, clinics, and programming across Pickleball, Padel, and Tennis. In this role, you will help create the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities

•        Assist in teaching Pickleball, Padel & Tennis fundamentals to students and players of all levels, under the direction of the Rackets Director.

•        Provide private or group Pickleball, Padel & Tennis lessons for members and guests as assigned.

•        Support the evaluation of players' games to help reinforce specific skills and build motivation.

•        Help develop and lead a roster of drills and games that keep instruction fun while advancing knowledge, skill, and technique.

•        Support a Pickleball, Padel & Tennis program that caters to all adult and child guests, including group coaching, free play, social play, and private lessons.

•        Assist in the preparation, organization, and delivery of monthly Pickleball, Padel & Tennis Socials.

•        Help promote the Pickleball, Padel & Tennis program and support efforts to increase participation. Ensure health and safety is upheld to the highest standard both on and off the courts.

•        Assist with the maintenance, repair, and security of equipment, and help ensure courts are kept in satisfactory condition to meet guest expectations.

•        Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

•        Minimum of two years of experience in the Pickleball, Padel & Tennis field as an Instructor and/or Competitive Player.

•        Strong Customer Service, communication, and organizational abilities.

•        Previous experience in a Luxury Resort or Private Country Club preferred.

•        Current CPR-AED certification or willingness to complete certification is required,.

•        Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.

•        Must be highly customer oriented, responsive and hospitality minded.

•        Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

•        Ability to work in a team environment.

•        Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.

•        Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.

•        Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
