Buckhannon, West Virginia, The Track Assistant Coach is a full-time position responsible for assisting with all phases of an NCAA Division II Track program including player training and development and other duties as assigned by the Head Track Coach. The position will begin in August 2026.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ability to assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive track developmental program for field events.
Contribute to a competitive, supportive, and development focused team environment.
Provide hands-on instruction and supervision and safety during training sessions.
Stay up to date on latest trends and best practices in track.
Provide support during team practices, games, and competitions.
Organized and responsible for all clerical duties as assigned in a timely manner.
Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, coaches, faculty, staff, and the campus community.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Track Coach and Athletic Department.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree is required.
Applicant must be able to work flexible hours (evenings/weekends/holidays)
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
Previous collegiate track experience at the D1 or D2 level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Suite
CPR/AED certified
Experience working with field event athletes
