Job Description

Colorado Springs, Colorado, Working with our Marketing and Video Production Team, the Social Media Manager will help guide and execute the NSCA's social media strategy across various social platforms. This role involves day-to-day post scheduling and engagement, social listening, performance reporting, and coordinating the creation of video content. Strategy Development and Management: •Develop and refine a comprehensive organization-wide social media strategy that aligns with strategic goals, ensuring it amplifies our brand voice and reinforces our credibility. •Champion social media best practices for our content creators, guide employees and internal stakeholders to represent the NSCA brand authentically and effectively on social platforms. •Provide guidance and leadership to NSCA volunteer social media efforts, including Canva management Content Creation and Management: •Manage daily post scheduling using our social media management platform. •Collaborate with internal teams to ideate and develop compelling, platform-specific content and campaigns that support key initiatives, events, and partnerships. •Create short-form reels for social media; collaborate with copywriter and graphic designer •Monitor and engage with NSCA’s online community, responding to inquiries, comments, and direct messages in a timely and professional manner. •Ensure all social content reflects the NSCA’s voice, messaging guidelines, and positions us as a thought leader in the industry. •Experiment with new formats and content types to enhance reach and audience engagement. •Help develop and manage the NSCA’s influencer & UGC program. Performance Optimization: •Define key performance indicators and track performance metrics •Report on campaign impact and provide actionable insights to inform future strategy and content decisions. •Monitor and analyze industry trends and shifts, aligning our strategy appropriately. •Working with our Project Manager, help coordinate and track social content projects from concept to completion, raising issues and potential conflicts as they arise. •Help support production calendars, shoot schedules, and deadlines to ensure seamless coordination of all short-form content projects. A passion for social media and understanding cultural trends. Experience using social media management platforms (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc). Extensive knowledge of the nuances of various social media platforms such as Meta and X. Solid understanding of the video production process from ideation to publishing and familiarity with the tools and methods employed. A portfolio that showcases your creativity, strategic thinking, and proven results. Proven ability to collaborate effectively within teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to communicate details. Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, mass communications, media studies, or similar is preferred.
