Graduate Assistant Coach, Cross Country | Mercer University Athletics

Macon, Georgia, Mercer University is seeking a Graduate Assistant Coach to join its Cross Country and Track & Field program (Distance). This position offers a unique opportunity for a recent collegiate athlete to continue their involvement in the sport while pursuing a graduate degree, gaining hands-on coaching experience, and developing leadership skills within a competitive team environment. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and be accepted into Mercer University’s graduate program. The ideal candidate will have competed at the collegiate level. Experience with Cross Country/Distance events and a desire to coach are a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential, along with the ability to work well in a team environment and the capacity to model mature, responsible leadership. Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays and travel with the team to competitions. A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass university driver certification are also required. Position includes full graduate school tuition/fees/books, housing, and a $125/month stipend.
