Job Description

Bel Air, Maryland, Job Description: The Position Coach will need to possess expertise in their respective sport and exhibit excellence in position-specific coaching. The Position Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach with conducting practices and competitions; ensuring adherence to the NJCAA Code of Ethics, and performing other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. Assistance and awareness of the academic success of student athletes is a priority for all coaches. Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement. Required Education: High School diploma/ GED and college credits with a minimum of 30 hours or more are required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Required Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of Lacrosse experience with a combination of active game situation coaching at the high school, club/select, or collegiate level or professional playing/coaching experience. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The Position Coach must possess expertise in lacrosse and exhibit excellence in position-specific coaching and instruction in practice and contests, while serving as a positive example of a leader and role model. Other requirements include: A valid driver's license and a good driving record with fewer than three points CPR , First Aid and AED certifications required Excellent and effective communication skills.
