Normal, Illinois, This position routinely works with student-athletes implementing training plans to optimize athletic development; teach, build relationships, motivate, and track progression. Design annual training plans to meet the unique demands of each student-athlete and sport. Constantly communicate with athletic trainers and other members of the performance team to update student-athletes status. Mentor volunteer coaches, interns, etc. Partake in personal and professional development. 1. Master's degree 2. Certification through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC certification) or the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS certification). 3. Prior experience in collegiate or professional strength & conditioning setting 4. Strong communication and organization skills. 5. Demonstrated commitment to a high degree of integrity and adherence to the University, NCAA, and Missouri Valley Conference rules and regulations. 6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multi-tasking environment, with a strong sense of principles and ethics in regard to the welfare of student-athletes 7. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours which include morning, nights, and weekends
