Job Description

Rush Copley Healthplex seeks an experienced, energetic Tennis Professional to deliver high-quality instruction, run organized programs, and support club membership growth. This role includes coaching juniors and adults, managing clinics and leagues, maintaining courts and equipment standards, and promoting a positive tennis community.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach private, semi-private, and group lessons for juniors and adults across all skill levels.
  • Develop and run age-and skill-appropriate programs: clinics, camps, clinics, match play, leagues, and tournaments.
  • Create individualized lesson plans, track player progress, and provide feedback to players and parents.
  • Organize and manage court schedules, equipment inventory, and facility setup for clinics and events.
  • Promote club programs, recruit new players, and contribute to membership retention initiatives.
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct; enforce club rules and safety protocols.
  • Assist with special events and fundraising as needed.
  • Hold or obtain required certifications and complete continuing education to keep coaching techniques current.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years coaching experience or certification from a recognized tennis association (e.g., PTR, RSPA) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of technique, strategy, and player development across age groups.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate players.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or must obtain upon hire.
  • Safe Play Approved certification.
