Job Description

Brooklyn, New York, Brooklyn College of the City University of New York (CUNY) invites applications for a Sports Information Coordinator (Student Athletics Program Coordinator) in the Office of Athletics, Recreation and Intramurals. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Sports Information Coordinator serves a dual role supporting the Athletics Department’s communications, media relations, and statistical operations while also assisting with financial processing related to game official, sport assigner and team transportation payments. This position requires a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, typical duties include but are not limited to: Write and publish game recaps, press releases, and feature stories for athletic teams Maintain athletics website with schedules, rosters, statistics, and news updates Compile and report game statistics using applicable software (e.g., NCAA Live Stats, StatCrew, etc.) Manage athletics social media accounts, including live game coverage and promotional content Coordinate media relations, including press box/game day operations and media requests Produce game notes, record books, and historical data Assist with photography, graphic design, and video content creation Ensure compliance with conference and NCAA reporting requirements Manage game official and sport assigner payments through CUNYBuy and Ref Quest payment systems Assist with team travel arrangements and payments Maintain all files pertaining to game schedules and game contracts for all NCAA sports Related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications -Bachelor's degree required. -Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including evening and weekend hours. Preferred Qualifications -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. -Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. -Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced intercollegiate athletics environment.
