**Position Title:** Varsity Offensive Line Coach / Junior High Physical Education Teacher
**District:** Cameron ISD (Class 3A)

Position Overview Cameron ISD is seeking a dedicated Varsity Offensive Line Coach and Junior High Physical Education Teacher to join the Yoe High School athletic and academic staff. The successful candidate will lead the development of the offensive line at the varsity level and provide high-quality physical education instruction to junior high students in a Class 3A program with strong community support and tradition.
### Primary Coaching Responsibilities - Coach the **Varsity Offensive Line** within the high school football program.
- Develop and implement position-specific drills, techniques, and schemes consistent with the offensive philosophy of the head coach.
- Evaluate, mentor, and develop offensive line student-athletes in-season and off-season (strength, conditioning, and skill development).
- Contribute to game planning, film breakdown, scouting reports, and opponent preparation.
- Promote academic success, character development, and accountability for all football student-athletes.
- Assist with lower-level football programs as assigned (JV/freshman) to ensure vertical alignment and system consistency.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and staff while representing Cameron ISD and Yoe High School with professionalism.
### Teaching Responsibilities (Junior High PE)
- Teach **Junior High Physical Education** in accordance with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and district curriculum.
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that promote lifelong fitness, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
- Manage a safe, structured, and inclusive gym/field environment for all students. - Assess student performance and maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and behavior.
- Collaborate with campus staff, counselors, and administrators to support the academic and social-emotional needs of students.
- Uphold and model district expectations for student conduct, discipline, and character education.
### Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required. - Valid Texas Teaching Certificate or eligibility for Texas certification (preferred in Physical Education or related field).
- CDL with school bus endorsement or willingness to obtain (preferred/required by start date, per district policy).
- Previous football coaching experience (offensive line experience strongly preferred). - Strong understanding of offensive line technique, run game and pass protection fundamentals, and modern blocking schemes.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative coaching staff and vertically aligned athletic program.

### Work Schedule - Follows the Cameron ISD academic calendar, with additional time required for practices, games, strength & conditioning, and professional development. - Evening and weekend work required during the football season and off-season activities.
