Job Description

Mobile, Alabama, The University of South Alabama seeks applications for a paid internship position in the Athletics Ticket Office. This position will report to the Director of Ticket Sales. Essential job functions: Generate new ticket sales through outbound phone calls, emails, and in-person appointments with prospective customers. Assist with season ticket, mini-plan, group ticket, and premium seating sales for South Alabama Athletics. Contact existing season ticket holders regarding renewals, upgrades, and additional ticket opportunities. Develop relationships with businesses, alumni, faculty, staff, and community organizations to increase ticket sales and attendance. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to ticket inquiries and recommending seating options that best fit customer needs. Assist with sales campaigns, promotional events, and community outreach efforts designed to increase attendance and revenue. Utilize South Alabama's Paciolan ticketing system to process orders, maintain customer records, and document sales activities. Support game day ticket sales operations, including customer service, will call, and box office assistance during athletic events. Assist with lead generation, prospect research, and other sales initiatives to expand the South Alabama Athletics fan base. Other duties and responsibilities: Prompt and regular attendance Ability to work scheduled hours as defined (some nights and weekends required) Ability to work closely with student employees in the box office Adhere to all University of South Alabama, Sun Belt Conference and NCAA rules and regulations Other duties as required/assigned by the Director of Ticket Operations. Necessary special requirements: Superb interpersonal skills; Excellent written and verbal communications skills; Ability to handle multiple tasks, and function in a high paced environment; High level of motivation and assertiveness, as well as an ability to exercise independent judgement.
