Job Description

Quincy, Illinois, Quincy University, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, invites applications for the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. Responsibilities: Serve as a representative of the University, promoting Quincy University's mission, image, and goals to colleagues, student-athletes, and the community. Assist the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for Quincy University student-athletes. Assist with scheduling team strength and conditioning sessions. Help maintain and organize the athletic weight room and ensure the proper upkeep of strength and conditioning equipment. Assist in monitoring and enforcing safety procedures within the weight room. Maintain required CPR and strength and conditioning certifications. Abide by the policies, regulations, and rules of the NCAA, the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and Quincy University, including the Quincy University Code of Ethics for Coaches. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Previous experience in strength and conditioning, preferably in a collegiate setting. CPR certification and appropriate strength and conditioning certification (or the ability to obtain certification within a specified period). Ability to work effectively with a diverse student-athlete population. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.   Salary: $32,000–$35,000 Benefits: Includes medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, long- and short-term disability coverage, paid holidays, a 403(b) retirement plan, undergraduate tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, graduate tuition benefits for employees, and vacation and sick leave in accordance with University policy.
