Position Summary Perryton ISD is seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and dedicated Head Boys Soccer Coach to join our athletic department. The ideal candidate will lead our team in all aspects of the program, including skill development, game strategy, practice planning, and fostering a culture of academic integrity and sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities Coaching & Instruction: teach soccer rules, techniques, and strategies to high school athletes.
Player Development: Lead individual and small-group skill sessions focusing on fundamental growth. Game/Practice Prep: Assist with scheduling, scouting, and preparing scouting reports.
Program Management: Help manage equipment, team logistics, and safety protocols during practices and games.
Mentorship: Act as a positive role model for students, promoting character, discipline, and academic success.
Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with parents, faculty, and the Perryton community. Certification: Valid Texas teaching certificate (preferred fields: PE or core subjects).
Experience: Previous coaching experience at the secondary level (high school or middle school) preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of UIL rules and Texas high school athletics.
Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Certifications: Current CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
