Student-Athlete Success Specialist | Cleveland State University

Cleveland, Ohio, Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining a caseload of students-athletes to enhance academic strategy development and support student success. The Student Athlete Success Specialist encourages achievement of goals through self-assessment, reflection and connection to campus and community resources with a goal of graduation. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree preferably in social work, psychology, counseling and education. One (1) year of experience in academic support services in an educational or non-profit setting. Experience can be in advising, mentoring, tutoring, student programming or student services. Ability to work evenings and weekends as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, education or related field. One (1) year experience in higher education retention programs. Experience using an online student engagement system.
