Head Volleyball Coach

Our athletic department is seeking an outstanding leader to serve as the next Head Volleyball Coach. We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and relationship-driven coach who is passionate about developing young women, building championship culture, and leading one of the premier volleyball programs in the area.

The successful candidate will embrace high expectations while creating an environment that is competitive, challenging, and fun—one where student-athletes are motivated to reach their full potential both on and off the court.

Position Responsibilities

The Head Volleyball Coach will provide vision, leadership, and direction for the entire volleyball program by:

  • Leading all aspects of the high school volleyball program in accordance with UIL, TEA, and district policies.
  • Developing a program philosophy that promotes competitive excellence, accountability, sportsmanship, and character.
  • Planning and conducting organized, high-energy practices that maximize player development while fostering enthusiasm for the game.
  • Coordinating and mentoring sub-varsity coaches to ensure consistency in instruction and program expectations.
  • Building positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, campus staff, and the community.
  • Encouraging academic excellence, leadership, and personal growth among all athletes.
  • Supporting offseason strength, conditioning, and skill development opportunities within UIL guidelines.
  • Managing scheduling, equipment, uniforms, budgeting, travel, and other program operations.
  • Serving as a positive representative of the school district and athletic department.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful experience coaching volleyball at the varsity level; head coaching experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, systems, player development, and match strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and cultivate a positive team culture.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Texas teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification) and all credentials required by the Texas Education Agency and UIL.
  • Commitment to collaborating with campus administration, athletic leadership, and feeder programs to sustain long-term success.
