Job Description

Harrogate, Tennessee, Lincoln Memorial University’s Department of Athletics is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Coach position with its Track & Field program for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 academic years. The successful candidate will report to the Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach and will assist with coaching sprints/hurdles, relays, recruiting, and administrative tasks. Compensation: The Graduate Assistant position is a two-year commitment beginning with the 2026-27 academic year and includes a tuition waiver of up to 18 graduate credit hours per year. Housing (10 months), and 50 meal/semester plan. The position does not include a stipend. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into Lincoln Memorial University’s graduate program. The ideal candidate will have competed at the collegiate level, performing with distinction as the member of a competitive track & field. Experience with jumps and/or multi events and a desire to be a coach is a plus. Additional requirements include strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills; the ability to work well in a team environment; the capacity to model mature, responsible leadership. The candidate must be willing to work weekends and holidays and travel with the track and cross-country teams to competitions. Must have valid drivers license and pass university driver certification class.
