Carrollton, Georgia, Job Summary
This position works independently carrying out the duties assigned with the specific sports. This includes the athletic training duties of treatment, rehabilitation of student athletes in 13 NCAA sponsored sports. This position is responsible for post-surgery procedures and rehabilitation of the student athletes. Additional responsibilities includes working with medical coverage of all sports; setting up diagnostic tests and doctor appointments; administering of NCAA and in-house drug testing; inventory of equipment and supplies; administering of pre participation physicals for 300+ student athletes; inputting and updating of medical records into the computer system. inventory for the purchasing of supplies and equipment.
Responsibilities
1. Works independently in performing the duties required so each specific sport as assigned have the proper athletic training.
2. Supervision and guidance of graduate assistants and student volunteers. Work with the Insurance Coordinator in the verification of medical coverage for all sports.
3. Work with the Head Athletic Trainer in the following areas:
setting up diagnostic tests and doctor appointments.
Administering of NCAA and in house drug testing.
Inventory of equipment and supplies.
Pre-participation physicals for 300+ student athletes.
Inputting and updating of medical records into the computer system
4. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Other Required Qualifications NATABOC Certification is required for hire. In addition, must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a State of Georgia licensure within 30 days of hire. Current, valid, and unrestricted Georgia driver's license. Able to work outside in any condition for long periods of time and lift approximately 50lbs. Required Experience Must have good communication skills, leadership abilities and qualities, computer skills, and knowledge of the athletic training profession.
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Masters degree Preferred Experience One year of experience as a certified athletic trainer. Experience in college athletics.
