Job Description

Stillwater, Oklahoma, Assist the Sports Equipment Performance Director in coordinating apparel, footwear, protective equipment and laundry operations for football in accordance to workout, practice, and competition needs. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and disciplining of football student managers (12 PT = 6 FTE). Oversees a budget of over $750,000 for football equipment and apparel. In the absence of the Sports Equipment Performance Director, position is required to assume all duties of the director. Including but not limited to decision making of Nike purchases, meetings with upper management, administration and coaches as well as all football equipment operations. Manage equipment receipt, storage, issue and return. Research and monitor new innovations and upgrades to footwear, apparel and protective equipment and make recommendations to Sports Equipment Performance Director. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Business, Athletics, or related field (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) Two years of related athletics work experience. Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses: Athletic Equipment Manager Association Certification and Helmetfitting.com or obtain within one year of hire. Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge: Ability to handle multiple work assignments simultaneously. Knowledge of NCAA, Big XII Conference rules and regulations that pertain to equipment issue and return. Knowledge of computer hardware and software. Knowledge of NOCSAE regulations for protective equipment. Knowledge of team and individual sports and related equipment. Ability to perform maintenance program of protective equipment. Ability to fit protective equipment and apparel for optimal safety and performance for football, specifically helmets, gloves, shoulder pads and footwear. Knowledge of football rules and equipment regulations. Ability to lift 100 lbs.
