Job Description

Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, This position serves as the Conference’s primary liaison for NCAA compliance operations, supporting member institutions in navigating NCAA legislation and conference policies. The role also serves as the primary liaison for the PSAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), contributes to championship administration, and assists with strategic initiatives that enhance the student-athlete experience. This position offers the opportunity to contribute broadly to conference leadership, governance, and student-athlete development within a NCAA Division II premier conference. The Assistant Commissioner will report to the Commissioner. Primary responsibilities are as follows: - Oversee all aspects of NCAA Compliance within the conference including, but not limited to: - Interpretative guidance of NCAA Bylaws - Conducting institutional conference compliance reviews - Engaging with compliance coordinators on monthly calls - Development of rules education programs and opportunities, including compliance seminars - Processing medical waiver requests - Monitoring institutional violations - Management of the NCAA legislative process for the conference, including educational efforts of annual NCAA proposals - Serve as liaison between the NCAA Governance and Member Services Staff and the conference. - Serve as primary liaison for the PSAC SAAC, including coordinating annual in-person meeting and working with the National SAAC representative. - Serve as primary championship administrator at specific conference championships. - Assist in the organization of league meetings for certain constituent groups, including the Athletic Administrators and annual spring Board of Directors meeting. - Support implementation of the PSAC Strategic Plan and NCAA Division II Operating Plan initiatives, including student-athlete development and conference-wide programming. - Assist in the development and planning of professional development opportunities for league constituent groups. - Assist Commissioner with internal operations of office and other duties as assigned. - The position requires residence in the PSAC footprint. A bachelor’s degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred.   Travel and night/weekend work are required as needed to attend championship events and PSAC/NCAA meetings.
