The ideal candidate will be a visionary and motivated leader capable of enhancing our baseball program’s performance and culture. The Head Baseball Coach will oversee all aspects of the team, including player development, coaching strategies, game preparation, and community engagement. Additionally, the candidate will play a role in teaching social studies to high school students, promoting a balanced approach to academics and athletics.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive coaching philosophy that fosters player growth and teamwork.
- Design effective practice plans and game strategies that align with program goals.
- Mentor student-athletes by providing constructive feedback and support.
- Recruit and manage coaching staff to ensure a cohesive coaching environment.
- Coordinate practice schedules, fixtures, and transportation logistics.
- Promote the program through community outreach and engagement initiatives.
- Teach Social Studies curriculum that encourages critical thinking and student participation.
- Support student-athletes in balancing their academic commitments with their athletic pursuits.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Texas with a focus in Social Studies.
- Proven coaching/ playing experience at the high school level, preferably in baseball.
- Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, tactics, and player development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
- A passion for mentoring young athletes and helping them reach their full potential.
