About the Position: The Part-time Assistant Track and Field Coach will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach of TF/XC with the organization, administration, and coaching of the Men?s and Women?s Track and Field program. Specific duties include the horizontal jumps (LJ/TJ) and assisting our Associate Head Coach with sprints/hurdles. Candidates will be expected to adhere to all rules and regulations at George Mason University, the Atlantic 10 Conference, and the NCAA. Responsibilities: The Part-Time Assistant Track and Field Coach will assist in the following areas: Recruiting; Workout Implementation (practice set-ups, warm ups/cool downs, timing, spreadsheets, etc.); Weight room supervision; Organizing team activities and community service; Team travel; and Fundraising. This is a 10-month (Sept-May) paid, non-benefitted position. Required Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree; CPR and First Aid certified; 2+ years of high school or collegiate experience in horizontal jumps/sprints/hurdles; Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; Must be available to travel with the team to competitions on weekends; Must pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle record check; and Must currently possess an appropriate, active, valid motor vehicle operator?s license that meets all of GMU?s requirements for operating state vehicles and equipment under Mason?s Vehicle Use Policy 1411 https://universitypolicy.gmu.edu/policies/vehicle-use/.
