Muncie, Indiana, Ball State University Athletics Football Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistant Muncie, Indiana Desired start date: August 4, 2026 About This Opportunity Ball State University Football invites applications for a Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistant. This position will support the Football Strength & Conditioning staff in the implementation of comprehensive training programs designed to enhance student-athlete performance, while adhering to all NCAA, MAC, and institutional policies. This is a full graduate assistantship, including a $10,000 academic year stipend (with hourly rate paid outside of the academic year) and full tuition remission benefits. Graduate assistants must meet minimum GPA requirements for admission and maintain good academic standing, including enrollment in at least 6 graduate credit hours per semester. Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for Football student-athletes Instruct proper technique in all aspects of strength training, speed, agility, and conditioning Assist with daily facility operations, including equipment setup and breakdown Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment Assist with performance tracking, data collection, and evaluation Collaborate with athletic training, nutrition, and sport coaching staff Support summer workouts, preseason camp, and in-season training schedules Perform other duties as assigned Compliance Adhere to all NCAA, MAC, and institutional policies and complete required trainings. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree completed prior to start date Admission to a Ball State graduate program and ability to maintain eligibility Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and football-related travel Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in collegiate strength and conditioning Pursuit of CSCS (NSCA) or SCCC (CSCCa) certification Experience working with football or high-performance environments To Apply Submit resume, cover letter, and three professional references to: T.J.
