Job Summary

The Pickleball Professional is responsible for delivering an exceptional pickleball experience for members and guests through quality instruction, dynamic programming, and outstanding customer service. This role includes leading private lessons, clinics, leagues, tournaments, and social events that increase participation and enhance the overall member experience. The Pickleball Professional serves as a key ambassador for the racquet sports department while supporting daily court operations and membership engagement.

Reporting Structure

• Reports to the Courts Director

Day to Day

• Lead and assist with pickleball clinics, private lessons, beginner programs, open play sessions, drills, and specialty classes for players of all ages and skill levels.
• Organize and support leagues, ladders, round robins, mixers, tournaments, DUPR events, and member socials.
• Build strong relationships with members and guests by providing professional, friendly, and responsive service.
• Conduct new member pickleball orientations and introduce players to programs, leagues, and lesson opportunities.
• Help grow pickleball participation through program promotion, member outreach, and retention efforts.
• Assist with daily court scheduling, reservations, and smooth program operations.
• Maintain courts, nets, balls, paddles, and surrounding areas to club standards.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming, and organized environment for all players and guests.
• Support cross-functional club events and collaborate with other departments when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of pickleball coaching, teaching, or competitive playing experience.
• Experience teaching private and group lessons.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Certification from PPR, IPTPA, or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
