Head Track Coach / Assistant Football Coach (Possible OC) / Junior High Basketball Coach
Normangee ISD Athletics
Normangee ISD is seeking a highly motivated, relationship-driven coach to join our athletic department as Head Track Coach, Assistant Football Coach, and Junior High Basketball Coach.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing student-athletes on and off the field, building strong relationships, and contributing to a unified athletic department. We are looking for a coach who believes culture comes before championships, relationships come before results, and understands that winning is a byproduct of doing the little things right every day.
Social Studies certification is strongly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
Head Track Coach
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the boys' and girls' track program.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive year-round training plan focused on speed, power, technique, and overall athletic development.
- Coordinate with coaches from all sports to maximize multi-sport athlete success.
- Organize meets, travel, scheduling, equipment, and program logistics.
- Build continuity from junior high through varsity while establishing a culture of discipline, accountability, and competitive excellence.
Assistant Football Coach
- Coach a varsity position group based on experience and program needs.

- Develop fundamental basketball skills while preparing athletes for the high school program.
- Plan and conduct organized practices emphasizing skill development, teamwork, basketball IQ, and sportsmanship.
- Build confidence, accountability, and competitive habits in young athletes.
