Head Baseball/Assistant Defensive Coach (Best Fit) - Math & Science Cert/NO HPE

Fort Worth Southwest High School is seeking highly motivated and energetic applicants for an Head Baseball position. Second sport responsibilities is Assistant Football Coach on the Defensive Side (Best Fit). The teaching assignment is Math or Science, NO PE

We are looking for a relationship-driven coach who can positively impact student-athletes on and off the field. The ideal candidate will be a “kid magnet” who excels at building authentic relationships, developing young men, and contributing positively to our campus culture and athletic program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and develop a quality baseball program that is rooted in education-based values, high expectations, consistency, and academic performance for all participating student athletes

• Coach Defense within a highly competitive football program

• Assist with all aspects of the football program including offseason, strength and conditioning, player development, film breakdown, scouting, and recruiting support

• Be well versed in Hudl for film breakdown, opponent scouting, and player evaluation

• Teach Math or Science courses and maintain high academic expectations for student-athletes

• Build strong relationships with athletes, parents, faculty, and the community

• Positively represent the athletic program and school district at all times

Qualifications

• Valid Texas teaching certification in Math or Science
• CDL required OR willingness to obtain as soon as possible
• Strong work ethic, energy, and passion for developing student-athletes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience coaching football preferred

Compensation

Compensation is based on the Fort Worth Independent School District pay scale.
