Pflugerville Weiss High School – Head Boys Basketball Coach
Pflugerville ISD is seeking an outstanding leader to serve as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Weiss High School. Weiss has established itself as a competitive and respected program with a strong foundation, a commitment to excellence, and tremendous potential for continued growth and success.
The Head Boys Basketball Coach will provide leadership for all aspects of the boys basketball program, including the development of student-athletes from grades 9–12, implementation of a year-round program philosophy, and oversight of assistant coaches and program operations. The successful candidate will foster a culture built on accountability, character, discipline, and academic achievement while promoting positive relationships with students, parents, campus staff, and the community.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to develop and sustain a competitive program, mentor young men beyond the game of basketball, and align with the values and expectations of Pflugerville ISD Athletics. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, a passion for servant leadership, and a commitment to maximizing the potential of every student-athlete while competing at a championship level in one of the state’s most competitive classifications.
Qualifications:
Valid Texas teaching certificate or ability to obtain appropriate certification.
Demonstrated experience in coaching basketball at the secondary level.
Proven ability to build relationships, develop assistant coaches, and positively represent the school district.
Commitment to the educational mission of interscholastic athletics and adherence to all UIL, district, and campus expectations.
