Assistant Defensive Coach (Best Fit)/Assistant Track and Field - PE OPEN!

Fort Worth Southwest High School is seeking highly motivated and energetic applicants for an Assistant Football Coach position coaching on the Defensive Side (Best Fit). Second sport responsibilities is Assistant Track and Field. The teaching assignment is PE, Math, English, Science or Art

We are looking for a relationship-driven coach who can positively impact student-athletes on and off the field. The ideal candidate will be a “kid magnet” who excels at building authentic relationships, developing young men, and contributing positively to our campus culture and athletic program.

Responsibilities

• Coach Defense within a highly competitive football program
• Assist with all aspects of the football program including offseason, strength and conditioning, player development, film breakdown, scouting, and recruiting support
• Be well versed in Hudl for film breakdown, opponent scouting, and player evaluation
• Fulfill responsibilities within either Girls Track or Boys Track
• Teach PE, Math, English, Science or Art courses and maintain high academic expectations for student-athletes
• Build strong relationships with athletes, parents, faculty, and the community
• Positively represent the athletic program and school district at all times

Qualifications

• Valid Texas teaching certification in PE, Math, Science, English or Art
• CDL required OR willingness to obtain as soon as possible
• Strong work ethic, energy, and passion for developing student-athletes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience coaching football preferred

Compensation

Compensation is based on the Fort Worth Independent School District pay scale.
