Cypress Creek High School is seeking a high-quality coaching professional to serve as a Varsity Volleyball Coach, with a second sport assignment.

POSITION SUMMARY
Position: Volleyball Assistant Coach
Additional Assignment: Second sport (based on experience and program needs)
This role requires a coach who can teach fundamentals, develop high-level volleyball skills, foster team culture, and lead student-athletes with consistency, energy, and purpose.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid Texas Teacher Certification
  • Teaching Field(s):
    • Debate / Speech
    • English
    • Science
    • Math
    • (No Health or PE positions available)
  • Bus Certification (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
    • Required or willingness to obtain
    • Must be able to pass DOT physical, alcohol, and drug testing
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
  • Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, skill development, and game strategy
  • Understanding of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and compliance
  • Ability to instruct, motivate, and supervise student-athletes
  • Experience developing athletes in technical skills, volleyball IQ, and competitive mindset
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build a positive, relationship-driven culture while maintaining high standards
  • Ability to model professionalism and leadership daily
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Instruct and supervise student-athletes in assigned sport(s)
  • Develop athletes through a clear progression of skill development and competitive training
  • Assist in planning and implementing practice plans, game preparation, and offseason programming
  • Support the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes
  • Uphold and model program standards in growth, accountability, mental resilience, and effort
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with athletes, staff, parents, and the community
  • Comply with all campus, district, and UIL policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with coaching staff to ensure alignment throughout all levels of the volleyball program
  • Assist with recruiting and retaining student-athletes within the volleyball program
