Science Teacher Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on science lessons, laboratory experiments, and activities.
- Student Assessment: Evaluate student performance through tests, quizzes, lab reports, and projects.
- Classroom Management: Create a safe, structured laboratory and classroom environment that adheres to all science safety protocols.
- Collaboration & Communication: Hold regular office hours for tutoring and maintain open communication with parents and school administration regarding academic progress.
Core Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in science, education, or a related STEM field.
- Certification: State-issued teaching certificate (with endorsements in specific sciences like Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Team Leadership: Design and run daily practices, develop game plans, and oversee the athletic development of student-athletes.
- Student-Athlete Mentorship: Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and academic accountability among team members.
- Logistics & Safety: Manage team equipment, coordinate travel for away games, and ensure strict adherence to state athletic association and district rules.
- Event Coverage: Supervise students after school, during weekends, and at evening events or tournaments.
