Position Summary

The Head Volleyball Coach is responsible for leading and developing a successful high school volleyball program that promotes academic achievement, sportsmanship, character development, and competitive excellence. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coaching Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the volleyball program.
  • Develop athletes' individual and team skills, conditioning, and sportsmanship.
  • Foster a positive culture that emphasizes discipline, teamwork, respect, and accountability.
  • Supervise assistant coaches and coordinate program goals across all levels.
  • Monitor student-athlete academic progress and eligibility requirements.
  • Organize summer camps, clinics, and player development opportunities.
  • Coordinate team travel, equipment inventory, uniforms, and budget requests.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, administration, and community members.
  • Promote and grow participation in the volleyball program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid state teaching certification or enrolled in a teacher certification program.
  • Previous volleyball coaching experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • CDL or willing to obtain
