Hightower Volleyball Assistant w/ 2nd sport (Girls Track)

Job Description

We are seeking a Volleyball and Girls Track assistant Coach who is committed to continuing the growth and success of two well-established and competitive programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for student-athlete development, and the ability to build upon a culture of excellence both academically and athletically.

The selected candidate will be responsible for facilitating the teaching and learning process within a positive and structured environment that promotes discipline, accountability, teamwork, and character development. Through the vehicle of sports, the coach will help student-athletes acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become responsible, productive, and contributing adults.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Continue to develop and sustain a competitive and successful athletic culture
  • Foster positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, staff, and the community
  • Promote academic achievement, character development, and sportsmanship
  • Conduct practices, competitions, offseason programs, and athlete development
  • Maintain compliance with district, UIL, and athletic department policies and expectations
  • Collaborate effectively with campus administration and athletic staff
  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor for all student-athletes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous coaching or playing experience in volleyball and or track
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop student-athletes both on and off the field
  • Commitment to creating a positive and disciplined team culture
  • Teaching certification and coaching credentials required according to district and state guidelines
  • CDL
